"LOLLIPOP" のジャケット写真を撮ってくれたのは、スウェーデン人のフォトグラファー、ニルス・バージェンダルさん（写真中央）。ニルスは EGGSTONE のペールや、ex-RAYWONDER のルードビックの古い友人で、過去にも "Good Morning Call Song" や "Beautiful Song" のプロモーション・ビデオを撮ってくれたり、リンカランのスウェーデン特集の時に僕が担当した「マルメ・ガイド」でも、カメラマンとして取材に同行してくれた人です。そんなニルスに、簡単なインタヴューをしました！

ーーHow did you feel when you received Hideki's email about his cover photo shooting?

Nils: It felt fine, its always a pleasure working with you....I really mean it.

ーーWhat did you think about the LOLLIPOP idea for the cover?

Nils: Candy on a stick.....I like the concept. Who - in the evolution of useful things - came up with that idea?!

ーーWhere was the sand hill? That place just reminded me and Shoichi of Eggstone's 2nd album. Did you shoot the pictures?

Nils: The sand dunes is in Falsterbo, a scenic peninsula a 40 minutes ride from Malmoe. I shot some pics for the "Viva la difference" album but that was in another location.

ーー I really really love your all pictures! So, which of those pictures do you like? (might be tough question, isn't it?)

Nils: I cant really say....

ーーWho's your favourite photographer or artist?

Nils: This one is tough....well, I'm a big fan of a french photographer Henri Lartigue famous for the stuff he did as a kid in the the early 1900. His subject was pioneer racing cars, airplanes trying to take off, people jumping over rivers, beautiful women in big hats, dogs trying to fly etc etc. He was six years when he got his first camera. His curiosity for the world, his fresh eyes and the way he amused himself through the camera is a constant source of inspiration. Yes, he is a favorite.

ーーPlease tell me your fab band recently?

Nils: Recently I have listened to Breeders latest album "Mountain battles" - good to be back in the musical universe of Kim Deal. Dungen, Scout Niblett, Ratatat have been heard as well as Jonathan Richman's amazing "Because her beauty is wild and raw". I am looking forward to Loney Dear's notified "Dear John" - I think he is up to something big. What else.. I saw Built to spill the other night. A convincing performance.

ーーHow about your town nowadays?

Nils: Things are just fine, I was on a pick-nick today, it was a beautiful Sunday, I drank warm chocolate leaning against an old oak. I almost fell asleep.
